Guerilla – Live Bands, 06 June 2009
UKURBANCULTURE, who previously brought you Guerilla Dubstep and Guerilla Hip Hop, bring you the third and arguably best installment from the Guerilla spectrum, Guerilla Live Bands.
Following the company’s ethos of providing quality entertainment with a strong underlying urban tone, Live Bands Is the amalgamation of a variety of musical acts with sounds ranging from Latin inspired hip hop to synthetic Brit hop and a bit of everything in between.
Bands on the night will include:
Bredfruit – An acoustic band with elements of reggae, igniting summer haziness, with a blend of soulful lyrics and melodic vocals akin to Tunde Baiyewu, lead singer of Lighthouse Family.

The Rugged SoundSystem - The self proclaimed, “two step funk-hop dirty disco ghetto soul kings of Loughborough”, with
tongue-in-cheek lyrics and male/female harmonies creating their eclectic sound.

Great Imitation – Distinctively UK, Great Imitation take you on a journey, portraying their take on everyday life, with bittersweet stories as hard as the streets and melodies as soft as a she-mouse's belly.

EL MAHICO – This Leicester based band has many strings to its bow with Latin, flamenco and world music influences. A seamless fusion of rap, scratching and song-smithery, their political messages are imbedded in accessible lyrics and beats.
